My Day At The Park
On
April 12th, 1999 at 6:00am the Pre-calculus, Geometry, and Algebra
2 classes from Jackson City went to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom.
My name is Melissa Yeoman and I am in the Pre-Calculus class.
While in the park I walked around with Stephanie, Michael, A.J.,
Mr. Coots(our math teacher),D.J.,and Ben. The first ride we rode
was CHANG. We wanted to ride that first because most of
the people walking around with us had never rode it. Plus, if
you wait to long the lines are sooooo long. After the Chang we
rode THUNDER RUN, which I hated because those wooden rollercoasters
make some strange creeking noises. Although A.J. walked around
with us he didn't ride the rides. Following Thunder run we rode
TWISTED SISTERS, which is a pretty cool ride even though
it slings you around. Next, we rode the MOVIE RIDE, which
had a Robo Cop video in it this year. I thought that the Robo
Cop one was bettert than last years Dino Island. After the Movie
Ride we rode the VAMPIRE. I can't beleive I actually rode
that because it's gotten stuck three times in the last two weeks.
One time it was stuck for six hours! Next, we rode the RAINBOW.
On that ride you sit in a seat and it takes you around in circles.
It's a pretty cool ride but it's not very fast. After that we
rode the HELLEVATOR. The hellevator takes 29.3 seconds
to go from the ground to the top and back to the ground and we
waited in line for fifteen minutes to ride it! We went and got
a bite to eat at SWAMPWATER JACK'S. We had chicken that
was very good. I recomend that if you are gonna be at Kentucky
Kingdom, go there to eat. After lunch we rode QUAKE. After
we rode it the first time we convinced A.J. to ride it with us!
It was the only ride that he rode in the whole park. After that
we went back and rode TWISTED SISTERS and CHANG
again. This time we had to wait in line for an hour and twenty
minutes before we could ride. At the end Stephanie and I bought
the pictures. Chang,T2, and Thunder Run take pictures while your
riding that you can buy. I payed nine dollers and fifty cents
for a 5x7 in a folder.
